I've got a bit of experimental magik here that I would like some help with. I made 11 so I'm going to let this experimental batch go for $11 Canadian each plus shipping just so I can get some out into the world and I can get feedback on them from some fellow sorcerers, witches, and magicians. Should this experiment be successful they will not be this price again.
These are burned into very thin birch. Birch is a tree of new beginnings, renewal, and growth. Some traditions say to burn a petition written on birch between Yule and the coming spring to usher in a new year of abundance and prosperity, others say to burn it on a new moon when you need to attract abundance, and others say any time you need change is just fine and still others say you can carry it with you year-round to attract abundance and prosperity and open doors to new beginnings. Being as these are wood burned, you might consider them already burnt.
By this logic, I thought it might be an interesting experiment to try combining 7 pentacles on one piece that correspond to wealth, growth, change, empire, and abundance. I used some majors and then the 3 pentacles that rule over each of the planets used are at the bottom offering a bit more potency and control. I have also included the sigils of the ruling archangels.
As prescribed in some of the grimoires these were made on the day and hour of Mercury, which is said to work for all the pentacles. As such I leave it up to the sorcerer or witch who gets it to consecrate it for themselves. One may choose to consecrate it three times, under the day and hour of Mercury, Jupiter, and the Sun respectively, or one may choose to consecrate it wholly on the day and hour of Mercury. I leave the choice in your capable hands.
I have included the following pentacles on the front of each piece, which measures 2" x 6", and would make a lovely bookmark should one keep it in their daily planner or journal (hint hint).
The Third Pentacle of Mercury. – This and the following serve to
invoke the Spirits subject unto Mercury; and especially those who are written in this Pentacle.
The Fifth and Last Pentacle of Mercury. – This commandeth the
Spirits of Mercury, and serveth to open doors in whatever way they may be closed, and nothing it may encounter can resist it.
The Second Pentacle of the Sun. – This Pentacle, and the preceding and following, belong to the nature of the Sun. They serve to repress the prideand arrogance of the Solar Spirits, which are altogether proud and arrogant by their nature.
The Third Pentacle of the Sun. – This serveth in addition (to the
effects of the two preceding) to acquire Kingdom and Empire, to inflict loss, and to acquire renown and glory, especially through the Name of God, Tetragrammaton, which therein is twelve times contained.
The First Pentacle of Jupiter. – This serveth to invoke the Spirits of
Jupiter, and especially those whose Names are written around the Pentacle, among whom Parasiel is the Lord and Master of Treasures, and teacheth how to become possessor of places wherein they are.
The Second Pentacle of Jupiter. – This is proper for acquiring
glory, honors, dignities, riches, and all kinds of good, together with great tranquillity of mind; also to discover Treasures and chase away the Spirits who preside over them.
The Seventh and last Pentacle of Jupiter. – It hath great power
against poverty, if thou considerest it with devotion, repeating the versicle. It serveth furthermore to drive away those Spirits who guard treasures, and to discover the same.
As you can see there are a lot of possibilities for what one could employ this little piece of wood for, something which may intrigue the prospective sorcerer.
